A new beginning for tourism in the greater Famagusta region

Between September 9th and 15th, 2015, the RENEWAL project held a series of tourism education workshops in the walled city of Famagusta and Deryneia for artisans, CSOs, and small businesses in these areas. Seminars were also organised for Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot tourist guides and tour organizers. The seminars have already played a significant role in building trust and cooperation among the tour organizers and allowed guides to exchange stories about the greater Famagusta region, its people, monuments and history that can enhance the visitor’s experience.
