4th Women Film's WeekMar 17, 2017
UNDP Women’s Film Week is back!
Running from 27th to 31st March with up to three daily shows at the Goethe-Institut in Nicosia, the 2017 4th Women’s Film Week will bring to you 10 films and real stories of women from around the world.
The theme of this year’s edition is "biographical stories". Real stories of inspiring women, including women’s rights activists, artists, musicians, politicians, humanitarians and scientists from different countries and backgrounds that fought to change their world.
The 2017 Women’s Film Week is organised under the auspices of the Technical Committee on Gender Equality, by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in partnership with the Goethe-Institut in Nicosia and the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP).
This week-long event was made possible thanks to the support of Embassies and Cultural Institutions in Cyprus who provided us with yet another great selection of films!
In addition to the films, one open discussion is also being organized by the Technical Committee on Gender Equality in partnership with the Embassy of Poland, following the screening of the polish documentary “Solidarity according to women” at the Goethe-Institut Cyprus on Tuesday 28 March 2017 at 6:00 p.m.
All films will be screened in their original language with English subtitles. Entrance is free.
The full programme of the week can be found here.
